SHMII-14 International Conference: Structural Health Monitoring in Naples

The global civil engineering and technology community is preparing for the 14th International Conference on Structural Health Monitoring of Intelligent Infrastructure (SHMII-14). Organized by the Society for Civil Structural Health Monitoring (SCSHM, formerly ISHMII), the summit will be held from June 29 to July 2, 2027 at the prestigious Royal Continental Hotel in Naples, Italy.

Central Theme: “Reconnecting Engineering Disciplines” The theme of this edition seeks to unify the diverse technical and technological branches involved in Structural Health Monitoring (SHM). The objective is to develop synergistic approaches that overcome the individual limitations of each technique through cross-exchange among academia, government institutions, and private industry.

• Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning: Physics-informed machine learning models, transfer learning, and population-based SHM.
• Next-Generation Sensors: Advanced sensor networks, smart sensors, signal processing, and real-time structural data management.
• Remote Monitoring and Biomimetics: Remote sensing applications and biomimetic approaches for infrastructure resilience.

Open Call: Abstract Submission (Call for Papers) As we are in the technical program planning phase, engineers, scientists, researchers, and industry companies are formally invited to submit their innovative work and case studies. It should be noted that submission of a full paper is not mandatory to participate and present orally.
